Bald and Bloviating

Mookie's Weekly Bloviation: 9/4/2025

Mookie Spitz Season 1 Episode 57

Mookie Spitz, self-proclaimed “Bloviator in Chief." channels the spirit if not the talent of Bill Burr into his 57th Bald and Bloviating episode, and his first "Weekly Bloviation": he hits record with zero prep, zero filter, and maximum honesty. What starts as a riff on the age-old battle between dogs and cats evolves into a deeper meditation on human nature, cynicism, cowardice, and the lies we tell ourselves just to get through life.

Mookie’s rants blur the line between stand-up, therapy, and philosophy. He drags Dostoevsky out of the basement, throws in a Liberace-like cat named Zippy, and lands on a stark truth: people suck—dogs by kissing ass, cats by kicking ass—and we’re no different. From there, he pivots into the hard-earned lessons of adulthood, the debt-ridden freedom of creative obsession, and the surreal joy of finally writing the book he always wanted. His rant is messy, confessional, hilarious, and brutally honest.

If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re more of a dog (seeking love by giving it away) or a cat (taking what you can and prancing away), this episode will force you to look in the mirror and ask yourself: how much of your life is aligned with who you really are—and how much is a lie? Answer: Life’s too short to be polite, too brutal to be naive, and too interesting not to rant about.
